MBA of King and Snohomish Counties

The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties named Marco M. Lowe as director of government affairs. Lowe was vice president of Enwave Seattle, the city's renewable district energy system. Prior to that, he was chief of staff at New York City's Department of Small Business Services, director of community relations for Mayor Greg Nickels and a member of Gary Locke's gubernatorial staff.




Strate Line

Barnhart bought Strate Line, a company based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, that rents operated hydraulic cranes from 30 to 175 tons in Idaho, Montana and Washington. Memphis, Tennessee-based Barnhart will maintain all of Strate Line's assets and employees, but will manage operations primarily from its Spokane branch. Barnhart has nearly 50 branches and rents cranes to nearly 1,800 tons in capacity.

In Burlington, Trico Companies hired Mark Kim as project manager, Roger Kee as senior project engineer and Olivia Schatz as office assistant. Trico also promoted Sarah Silvas to project coordinator. Kim has 10 years of experience in commercial construction, and holds bachelor's degrees in construction management and economics from the University of Washington. Kee has almost 25 years of experience in procurement, contract management and construction project support. He is a UW graduate and served seven years in the Navy. Schatz was a sales intern at Matsunami Glass USA and graduated this month from Western Washington University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Silvas holds an associate's degree from Whatcom Community College, and is a volunteer firefighter and EMT.

In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Josh Van Kirk, Darya Saber and Michael Dunahoe to project managers; and Mike Myers to superintendent. Van Kirk 13 years of industry experience, five with Lewis. He is working on the Washington State Convention Center expansion. Saber has been in construction since 2006 and joined Lewis in 2012. He is working at the Rainier Square redevelopment. Dunahoe has been in construction since 2004 and with Lewis since 2016. He is working at Seattle Genetics. Myers has been at Lewis for 20 years and is working on a Boeing project.
