Seattle-based JTM Construction added Kevin Daniels and Michael Orme as project engineers, and Matt Wagner as senior project engineer. Daniels holds a bachelor's degree in business finance and humanities from Seattle University and is enrolled in the University of Washington construction management certificate program. Orme graduated in June with a bachelor's degree in construction management from the UW. Wagner has five years of construction experience and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University.

Bellevue-based Express Construction hired Brett Henkel as superintendent. Henkel has more than 23 years of construction experience, with a focus on tenant improvements in the retail, commercial, industrial and office markets.


Seattle-based general contractor Schuchart hired John McKenna as project manager and Joe Kay as general superintendent. McKenna has more than 11 years of experience in commercial construction. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from St. Ambrose University and a master's degree in project management from Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering. Kay has more than 30 years of experience in commercial construction and has supervised a range of projects that include commercial high-rise, medical, industrial, retail, entertainment and educational institutions.

Homebuilding industry veteran Robert M. Geline joined Lennar Corp.'s Pacific Northwest operations as vice president of construction and land development. Geline has more than 20 years of industry experience, previously serving as vice president of land development at Quadrant Homes. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan and an associate's degree in applied science from Bay College. He led the committee that developed the Built Green program at the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties.

Andrew Lawrence joined the Seattle headquarters of Global Diving & Salvage as salvage engineer. As part of the company's Marine Casualty Response Service Line, Lawrence is developing salvage plans, providing engineering support and assisting with project management. He served as a Coast Guard officer for eight years, including five years at the Marine Safety Center as part of the salvage engineering response team.

Bellevue-based Express Construction Co. hired Ken Johnston as a project engineer. Johnston holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University.
Skanska USA promoted eight in its Seattle office. Dan Beason, Mark Mershon and Bob Paddock were promoted from superintendents to senior superintendents. Dale Smith, Jeremy Uttech, Merritt Huntley, Torin Smith and Ed Jezek were promoted from general foremen to superintendents.
The Puget Sound Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction last month installed its 2012-13 officers and board members at its membership meeting in Bellevue. Officers are Maureen Byrnes, president; Sue Z. Hart, vice president; Judy Jewell, treasurer; and Gwyn Hart, secretary. New board members are Gayle Hoffman, Lily Iftner and Brenda Molner.
