Storhaug is a recent graduate of the construction management program at Washington State University, and Phillips is a recent graduate of the construction management program at the University of Washington. Gill has more than seven years of construction experience.

Adolfson & Peterson's Pacific Northwest office promoted Bill Clinton to director of estimating and preconstruction, and hired Thomas Hackett as assistant project manager. Clinton joined A&P three years ago as chief estimator. Hackett recently earned a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University. He is assisting with the Gordon Family YMCA and Portside Industrial Business Park projects. Also, A&P assistant superintendents Carl Derieg, Alan McDaniel and Bruce Adsero completed the Superintendent Career Training Program through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Derieg is working at the Aperture on 5th multifamily project, McDaniel is working on the Redmond Central multifamily project, and Adsero is working on the Lake Hills mixed-use project.

Worley

Swinerton Builders Northwest promoted Dave Worley to vice president, and hired Gayle Roberts as assistant project manager, Piper Hamill as senior project engineer and Sean McNally as project engineer. Worley has been with the company since 2002 and will continue his role as division manager. Roberts has 10 years of construction experience and is primarily working on tribal and gaming projects. Hamill relocated from Swinerton's Government Division and is involved in tenant improvements and health-care. McNally graduated from the University of Washington's construction management program and is working on tenant improvement projects.

Jason R. Wandler, a partner at the law firm of Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, was elected to the board of directors of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington. Wandler will serve a three-year term. He has been a member of the chapter for more than 10 years, and serves on the Professional Development Council.

AGC Education Foundation

The AGC Education Foundation named the recipients of its 2014-15 scholarships. From the University of Washington: Lee “Colton” Cox of Duvall, Sergio Ortega of Edmonds, Nick Santini of Seattle and Tanya Trongtham of Seattle. From Central Washington University: Joel Greear of Ellensburg, Brian Merris of Bellingham, Ryan Romano of Ellensburg and Kindra Scobba of Vancouver. From Washington State University: Avery Bahr of Bellingham, Andrew Croskrey of Richland, Armando Espinosa of Peshastin, Michael Fisher of Anchorage, Kelsey Gardner of Castle Rock, Marshall Ruehl of Spokane and Charlotte Schmitz of Veradale. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $4,250.

Mark Stillwell of Foushee & Associates and Ron Lange of Parker, Smith & Feek are new members of the AGC Education Foundation board of trustees. Stillwell has been with Foushee since 1990 and is a principal of the Bellevue-based company. Lange is a senior account executive for both insurance and surety at Parker, Smith & Feek. The foundation said Kurt Boyd is continuing on the board, but through a new company. Boyd recently returned to Valley Electric after 10 years at PCL Construction Services. He is in charge of business development at Valley Electric.

Brandon Lea joined Siku Construction as lead foreman for the Facility Services Group in Seattle. Lea has more than 15 years of construction and facilities experience. Siku's Seattle office focuses on construction management and facility services. It is one of five construction companies of the holding company UIC Construction Services in Anchorage, Alaska.

Heery International named Dennis Lawler manager of the Northwest Region, which consists of 13 western states. Lawler joined Heery eight years ago as business development director. He has 18 years of construction experience and previously worked in high-performance buildings at Johnson Controls. In his new role, he is working with education, health-care, mission critical facilities, aviation and government facilities clients.

PCL Construction Services appointed Kaz Robertson as manager of special projects of the Seattle District. Robertson began his career with PCL in 2007 as a project manager. He most recently served as project manager on the $25 million Cabela's Anchorage store. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Northern Arizona University, and is a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C) and DBIA Associate.

Ravi Saligram on July 7 will become CEO and board member of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers in Vancouver, B.C. Saligram will succeed Peter Blake, who is leaving the company. Saligram's 35-year professional career includes three years as president and CEO of OfficeMax and more than 20 years of general management experience at Aramark, Intercontinental Hotels Group, and S.C. Johnson and Son. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Bangalore University.

Cascade Windows hired Michael Schmitt as manager of the Tualatin, Oregon, plant. Schmitt has more than 30 years of experience in production management, working for companies such as Quanex/Aluminite, Milgard Manufacturing, Belknap Industries and Empire Pacific Industries. Cascade makes windows and doors in plants in Spokane, Portland and Salt Lake City.
