Turner Construction promoted Chris Killian to vice president and general manager of its Seattle office and appointed incumbent Dan Gemme as vice president and general manager of its Global Critical Facilities group. Killian joined Turner's Seattle Special Projects Division in 2000 after completing his master's degree at the University of Washington. He was promoted several times and in 2013 became manager of the Special Projects Division. Ian Klein took over as manager. Klein has worked at Turner for a number of years, most recently as Special Projects Division area manager in Bellevue. Gemme has more than 28 years of industry experience. He will remain in Seattle and focus on data center projects throughout the world.

Walsh Construction Co. promoted Ryan Voight, Jeremy Winter and Tom Koviak to superintendents; and added Cindie Banta as project administrator, Fred Berschauer as superintendent, Joe Curlin as assistant superintendent, and Stephanie Haguewood, Jens Perrin, Erin Reilly, Aidrus Salim and Nick Silbaugh as project engineers. Voight started at Walsh in 2009 as a summer intern. He became project engineer in 2010 after earning a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Winter started at Walsh in 2010 as a summer intern, and in 2012 became project engineer after graduating with a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. Koviak is weather resistive barriers trade superintendent. He began his career in 2008 as a journeyman carpenter at RDF Builders, where he worked on many Walsh projects. Banta is also front desk coordinator in the Tacoma office. Berschauer has more than 25 years of construction experience. Curlin has more than 15 years of industry experience, and ran his own construction company for the past five years. Haguewood works with the estimating department, and recently earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from City University of Seattle. Perrin has more than 11 years of construction experience. Reilly is enrolled in the UW's construction management certificate program. Salim recently earned a bachelor's degree in construction management from Minnesota State University. Silbaugh has more than seven years of construction experience.

Brian Rice was appointed chief financial officer at Dexter + Chaney, a construction software developer based in Seattle. Rice replaces John Ulacia, who is retiring after 20 years. Rice previously was CFO/COO at LexBlog, a social media and content marketing firm focused on professional services companies. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin.

PulteGroup

Homebuilder PulteGroup named Sam Colgan as division president to oversee the opening of eight new communities in the Seattle area this year. Colgan has been with Pulte for 17 years, holding positions such as vice president of land in Arizona and president of an operating division in Phoenix. Pulte is building 600 homes in Sammamish, Bothell, Issaquah, Lake Forest Park, Snoqualmie Ridge, Duvall and North Bend. Pulte entered the Seattle market in 2011 with the acquisition of Centex.

Bellevue-based Express Construction Co. added Joe Mallory as superintendent, Jason Haggard as controller and Stan Uhlig as senior project manager.







ABC of Western Washington

Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington hired Kayla Johnson for the newly created position of safety and education administrator. Johnson is working with members on safety training, safety resources, class and event registration, the Safety Training and Evaluation Process, and the Safety Alliance program. She previously worked in Texas as the health and safety specialist with Black Gold Safety. She holds a bachelor's degree in media studies from Northeastern State University.

Professional Service Industries transfered and promoted Sunia Malolo, EIT, to staff engineer in its Lynnwood office. Malolo previously was an engineering technician in the Oakland office. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from San Francisco State University.

Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker partners Douglas S. Oles and Jason R. Wandler were selected for the Best Lawyers 2016 list, a highly respected peer-review publication in the legal profession.
