The Walsh Group in Seattle hired Troy Schmidt as project engineer for the AAC Black Hawk hangar project at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Schmidt previously was a project engineer in the Quality Control Department at Walsh's McConnell Air Force Base project in Kansas, where he tracked more than 5,000 submittals.
Keith Spencer was named plant manager at Oregon Door in Winston, Oregon. Spencer recently managed all Oregon and Northern California operations for Reddyice Corp., and worked at Roseburg Forest Products prior to that. He holds a bachelor's degree in operations management from Concordia University in Portland, and is a Coast Guard veteran.
Mike Ericson, architectural representative for Daltile, was named 2017 board president of Flooring Association Northwest. Other officers are: Heidi Cronin of Cronin Co., president emeritus; Bryan Goffe of Double Eagle Interiors, vice president; and Matt O'Haleck of Hammond Knoll, treasurer/secretary. Board members are Jack Bramson of Pental Marble, Russ Sanderlin of Seattle's Best Floors, Chris Sessum of E.C.S. Floor Coverings, John Gallup of Schonox HPS, Michael Goria of Prime Supply Flooring, Patrick Rooney of Division 9 Flooring, and Tish Gasparich, executive director of the association
The American Concrete Pumping Association elected its new executive board at its annual meeting last month in Las Vegas. Included was Roy Thompson of Champion Concrete Pumping in Hauser, Idaho. Thompson is serving a one-year term as a pump director.

The National Association of Home Builders swore in Juli Bacon as 2017 chair of the Professional Women in Building Council. Bacon owns JB Consulting Systems and Bacon Maintenance Services in Woodinville. Her focus as council chair is on building leadership strategies for women in the construction industry and setting up a mentoring program for them. Bacon is a long-time member of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties.
Dexter + Chaney entered into a partnership with the Associated Builders and Contractors to provide the association's members with technology tools they need to update their business practices as they grow. Dexter + Chaney of Seattle develops cloud-based construction ERP software.
