SEATTLE -- A new Project Impact study will explore how transportation disruptions caused by earthquakes affect businesses in King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties.
To complete the study, University of Washington researchers are looking for 800 Puget Sound-area companies to participate in a 34-question online questionnaire by mid-December. Responses will be treated as confidential, and respondents will not be asked to identify their firm. Company representatives interested in participating in the study can find the questionnaire at www.geographicresearch.org.
Project Impact is a public-private partnership designed to improve disaster preparedness. The survey is funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
