Affordable housing, police patrol levels and global warming topped the list of priorities that Mayor Greg Nickels' outlined in his State of the City speech Wednesday.
Nickels took the unusual step of giving the speech at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center to a crowd that included members of the Rotary Club of Seattle and the general public. Typically, the mayor gives the State of the City speech before the City Council at City Hall.
