Newcastle adopts new building rules

NEWCASTLE — The Newcastle City Council has revised its zoning code and development regulations for the city's commercial core.

Revisions include having a maximum building height of 75 feet, a minimum threshold requirement for pedestrian-oriented uses, reduced parking requirements, prohibition of new drive-through businesses, and no maximum number of residential units in the commercial core.
