Mithun to design Nordic museum

SEATTLE — Mithun has been selected as primary architect for the new Nordic Heritage Museum in Ballard.

The museum wants to create a world-class permanent home that embraces the traditions of Nordic design, art, heritage and culture. The design team includes Juhani Pallasmaa, a Finnish architect, and exhibit designers André & Assoc. from Victoria, B.C., exhibit designers at the Hong Kong Museum of History and the Jämtlands Läns Museum in Sweden.
