City may jettison ‘Jetsons’ toilets

The self-cleaning public toilets were installed in 2004.

Five self-cleaning public toilets installed downtown nearly four years ago are each used an average of 218 times a day, but a new Seattle Public Utilities report recommends the city close the toilets because too many of those uses are illegal, including prostitution and drug dealing.
