City looks at allowing taller buildings in Northgate area

  • Some parts of Northgate could have buildings up to 125 feet, and bonuses for affordable housing and open space.

    The study area of the draft EIS is shown above. One option would see most of the area up-zoned by about 20 feet, with an up-zone from 60 to 125 feet at First Avenue Northeast and Northeast Northgate Way.

    A draft environmental impact statement that looks at up-zoning as much as 98 acres in Northgate was released Thursday.
