Convention center looking to expand

  • King County may sell or lease the air rights above the Metro bus station at Convention Place to the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. The County is looking to lease other sites as well to plug a growing budget gap.

    King County might sell or lease the air rights above the Metro bus station at Convention Place to the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, which is looking to expand.

    “We have an awful lot of clients who would like to come here but we don't have available dates and space,” said John Christison, president and general manager of the Convention Center, yesterday.
