Chopp tells the port viaduct can become city's front porch

State House Speaker Frank Chopp wants to build an enclosed viaduct with a park on top and two-story buildings underneath.

With much enthusiasm, Washington State House Speaker Frank Chopp explained his vision for replacing the Alaskan Way Viaduct to a mostly receptive Seattle Port Commission yesterday.
