Jim Miller sees bright future for engineering

    Jim Miller, the 60-year-old chairman of the board of GeoEngineers, has been named 2009 Engineer of the Year by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Washington.

    Miller is a registered engineer, a licensed geologist, licensed hydrogeologist and licensed engineering geologist, and has worked in Washington for more than 34 years. One of the founding employees of GeoEngineers, Miller has led the firm in various roles — including president, CEO and chairman of the board — since 1993.
