BOSTON (AP) — The architect who co-designed the city's striking cable-stayed Zakim Bridge has given the state $15,000 to reilluminate its trademark blue lights — at least in the short term.
Miguel Rosales of the Boston firm Rosales + Partners said he was dismayed Massachusetts Turnpike Director Alan LeBovidge had the lights turned off to save the $5,000 monthly lighting bill.
