Architectural billings were up slightly in September, but the West still scored the lowest of any region in the country, and rated slightly below its August numbers, according to the American Institute of Architects.
Nationally, the rating was 43.1 percent, up slightly from 41.7 in August, and keeping even with July's rating. A score below 50 indicates a decline in demand for design services.
