Samaki Commons: Identical doesn't have to be monotonous

Three of the four buildings in the 41-unit Samaki Commons have an identical design, but they are distinguished by different color schemes of blue, orange, yellow and three types of green.

It's not often you hear architects say they have xeroxed a building. But that's what Arellano Christofides Architects did on a Rainier Valley low-income apartment project.
