Smart highway signs get tested

SEATTLE — A 20-day testing period starts today for new electronic signs on SR 520 between Seattle and Bellevue.

Testing will run 24 hours a day to confirm connections between the signs and the traffic management center in Shoreline. Test messages will create a small dot on each of the signs but WSDOT says drivers don't need to take any action.
