New Kirkland school will be ready to go 'net-zero'

Raingardens will be built on a hill, allowing access to each classroom, and spill into a large raingarden at the base.

A school now being built in Kirkland is designed to be “net-zero energy-ready,” meaning it won't provide all its own energy right away but could in the future.
