Fire-damaged school reopens in Bellingham

The architect said the building was essentially destroyed, but the team was able to recreate it using the old walls as a design guide and supports.

After a 2009 fire extensively damaged historic Whatcom Middle School, people in Bellingham decided they wanted to save it.
