Nordic Heritage Museum will be cultural center

The goal is to turn the building into a neighborhood hub. Half of the first floor, including classrooms and a coffee shop, will be open to the public without paying an entrance fee.

The Nordic Heritage Museum in Ballard is in the midst of fundraising for its $55 million new home. The structure, on Market Street, will be a museum and cultural center with a number of community uses.
