SEATTLE — The Northwest Universal Design Council will discuss the economic benefits of barrier-free design and access to affordable health care at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Seattle Municipal Tower, room 1610, 700 Fifth Ave., Seattle.
Tom Minty of the council will talk about the economic impact of universal design. Daniel S. Gross of Northwest Health Law Advocates will discuss how the Affordable Care Act allows states to expand their Medicaid programs and how health benefit exchanges will provide opportunities to buy affordable health insurance.
