ID's Higo Garden may be restored

SEATTLE — Cassie Chinn of the Wing Luke Museum will talk about plans to refurbish Higo Garden in Seattle at the city's International Special Review District meeting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bush Asia Center, 409 Maynard Ave. S.

The garden is at the rear of the Jackson Building, 600 S. Jackson St. It was used to grow flowers for Japanese American funerals before the Japanese American internment during World War II, according to Northwest Asian Weekly.
