Amazon's dome idea could create a new city landmark

A trio of domed conservatory-type spaces would contain 65,000 square feet, with space on five levels for dining, meeting, lounging and a lot of plants.

Amazon.com tossed out the design for one of the low-rise buildings within its three-block office development in the Denny Triangle and has come up with something entirely different: three, uh, space balls.
