Charter Construction crews will begin stacking units this month for ‘N' Habit, a 49-unit modular apartment at 2217 Third Ave. in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.

Units in the seven-and-a-half-story project by Daly Partners will range from 422 to 752 square feet. They are manufactured, finished, painted, carpeted and wired in a factory, and shipped to the site for installation.

Crews will stack the units on top of a two-story base using a Grove GMK7550 crane. Work will be done on two weekends.

They plan to start on Friday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. and work continuously through the weekend. Stacking will finish during another round-the-clock session the following weekend.

Pre-leasing began in August. A model apartment in Belltown shows what the units will look like.

Rents range from $1,175 for studio to $2,100 for a two-story loft.

Bushnaq Studio is the architect and Kristine Donovick is the interior designer. OneBuild is the modular supplier.
