Merritt to help with Tacoma rail station

TACOMA — The Washington State Department of Transportation is heeding a city request for more design input on a new Amtrak station planned for Freighthouse Square in Tacoma's Dome District.

Tacoma-based Merritt Arch will work with WSDOT, the city, Amtrak and building owner Brian Borgelt to determine where the station should be located, and participate in other pre-design activities.
