Tsunami House: artful design for storm surge, winds and quakes

The 1,833-square-foot Tsunami House is 30 feet tall, with two stories and a loft.

Designs Northwest Architects of Stanwood has done some interesting projects before: a floating home with an industrial feel on Lake Union and the Thomas Eco house in Stanwood that is made with concrete-filled foam blocks.
