Bikers flock to 2nd Avenue lanes

SEATTLE — So what do bicyclists think of the fancy new bike lanes on Second Avenue? They're voting with their wheels.

Ridership has tripled since the protected two-way lanes opened, according to the city Department of Transportation. Electric counters tallied an average of 1,099 bicyclists a day from Sept. 9-11.
