The AIA Washington Council recently named 10 winners of the 2015 Civic Design Awards.
To be eligible, projects must either be designed by architects from Washington or located here. There were 35 submittals and three categories of awards: honor, merit and citation.
Projects were judged on design, utility, economy, environmental harmony, sustainability, accessibility, aesthetic delight, creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.
Jay Deguchi, Anne Schopf, Richard Sundberg and Olivia Yang were on the jury.
