Julio Vela and Greg Landau rejoined the Portland office of GeoEngineers as a geotechnical principal and senior geotechnical engineer, respectively. They will spearhead geotechnical engineering projects in Oregon and Washington. Vela will open a satellite office in Salem. Vela has over 19 years of geotechnical engineering experience in the Northwest, including 14 years with another engineering firm. He has worked on high-rises, roads, bridges, highways and public works. Landau has over 16 years of geotechnical experience on bridges, roadways, dams, waterfront structures, landfills, public utilities and development projects in Oregon. GeoEngineers is an earth science, engineering and technology consulting firm with 14 U.S. offices.
