Funeral home, Gatewood move toward landmark status

Los Angeles-based Lighthouse Investments is working with architect Gensler to convert the vacant Gatewood into a 96-room boutique hotel.

Seattle's Landmarks Preservation Board on Wednesday voted to nominate the Gatewood Apartments building in downtown and designate the Bleitz Funeral Home building on Queen Anne as city landmarks.
