BELLEVUE — All six Bellevue councilmembers that attended a Monday night study session gave their approval for a demonstration bikeway that would run along 108th Avenue Northeast between Northeast 12th and Main streets.
Bike lanes would run on both sides of the street, with traffic barriers in some locations.
Plans call for the bikeway to open in May, with an evaluation period running through the end of the year. During that time, the temporary installation may get tweaked.
The cost of the project, estimated between $300,000 and $400,000, will be funded by the 2016 Neighborhood Safety, Connectivity and Congestion Levy.
