AIA Project of the Month: All the little details make 5th and Madison work

The new residential tower makes a statement about living downtown and it draws energy from the gyrating walls of the library.

It's hard to keep your feet on track along Fifth Avenue between Madison and Marion streets these days. New terraces, combined with a coursing stream and falling water, tend to pull you into the plaza just above. Once you climb up to see what's going on, there are plenty of places to rest and a lot to look at.
