VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Storyeum, a tourist-oriented museum depicting the history of British Columbia with actors and sets, has filed for bankruptcy protection from creditors.
The museum, a series of underground theaters in the city's Gastown area, draws about 200,000 visitors a year, about one-fifth of what organizers anticipated when it opened two years ago at a cost of about $20 million, Storyeum President Danny Guillaume said.
