SPOKANE (AP) — After 60 years of effort, work on the long-sought North-South Freeway is progressing in Spokane despite soaring construction costs.
Increases in the costs of cement, oil, asphalt, diesel, labor and land have caused the price of the 10-mile long highway project to grow substantially.
