Idaho may use inmates to staff recycling center

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Kootenai County Commissioners, after visiting recycling centers in Seattle and Portland are talking about building a regional operation that might use inmate labor.

“This could put recycling ahead 20 years in Kootenai County,” Roger Saterfiel, the county's director of solid waste, told The Spokesman-Review.
