Dockworker dies at Port of Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. — A dockworker at the Port of Oakland died Saturday when he was knocked off a container ship and drowned, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

The worker, 77-year-old Delmont Blakeney, was supervising the off-loading of shipping containers from the NYK Starlight when a container hit him.
