New alliance's goal: Help region grow responsibly

  • The idea for the Quality Growth Alliance grew out of ULI's Reality Check exercise.

    By 2040, the Puget Sound region is projected to have another 1.7 million people. That's the size of the entire metro population of Portland.

    Yesterday, a group of organizations launched the Quality Growth Alliance to figure out how to plan for that growth in a more responsible way.
