Oregon port may buy railroad line

PORTLAND (AP) — The Port of Coos Bay may soon own a 111-mile railroad line that connects Eugene and Coos Bay.

The port applied to purchase the line this year, and last week the federal Surface Transportation Board ruled that the Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad Line must sell the tracks.
