The notion that a proposed federal economic stimulus package could help pay for a new state Route 520 bridge — an idea proposed by state legislators — doesn't sit well with U.S. Congressman Rick Larsen, whose District 2 covers Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, Island and San Juan counties.
“There are many projects in my district that shouldn't have to wait for us to fund 520,” Larsen said after an economic summit roundtable in Everett yesterday co-hosted by U.S. Senator Patty Murray.
