Quincy LORAN station to close

QUINCY, Grant County (AP) — The Coast Guard says it will shut down U.S. transmissions from its Long Range Navigation station at Quincy on Monday, after 33 years of service.

The LORAN navigation system has been outdated by GPS technology.
