Jones may merge with LA soda maker

SEATTLE — Jones Soda Co. announced that it is in merger talks with Los Angeles-based soda maker Reed's in a cash-and-stock deal widely reported to be worth around $10 million.

The companies have entered into a letter of intent regarding the merger and have until April 5 to negotiate the agreement, under the terms. Jones CEO Joth Ricci will step down on April 2.
