Treasurer says state is saving on bond sales

OLYMPIA (AP) — The state treasurer says Washington has booked nearly $650 million in savings since January 2009 by getting better financing for state bonds.

Treasurer Jim McIntire says the savings will allow the state to stretch tax dollars further on projects like schools, highways and bridges.
