Volcano reopens visitor center

MOUNT ST. HELENS (AP) — Mount St. Helens is reopening the Coldwater Ridge center visitor center for the first time since it closed in 2008.

The News Tribune reports the center has been renovated with more than $700,000 in economic stimulus funds. It will serve as an educational venue for monument staff and outside groups.
