Licata selected to lead national group

SEATTLE — Seattle City Councilmember Nick Licata has been selected as the chairman of a new national municipal policy network.

The group, Local Progress, “will allow, for the first time, a real network to exist between municipal officials who wish to adopt legislation passed in other communities that have addressed the needs of average working people, like establishing paid sick leave legislation,” Licata said in a statement.
