Daimler's Portland factory faces layoffs
PORTLAND (AP) — A union official says Daimler Trucks North America plans to lay off 250 workers at its Portland factory in February.
Joe Kear is business representative with the International Association of Machinists District W24 Lodge in Portland. He told The Oregonian (http://is.gd/l0BqJq ) managers have notified the 250 workers that their last day will be Feb. 15.
