SEATTLE (AP) — A former manager has pleaded guilty to embezzling at least $120,000 and perhaps as much as $400,000 from the Lake Forest Park water district north of Seattle.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 41-year-old Jackee Bormann-Zweekhorst entered the plea Wednesday in federal court to a charge of wire fraud. She acknowledged using a variety of schemes to steal the money between 2004 and 2011, including falsifying time cards so that her children were paid for work they never performed for the water district.
