Tacoma Power

Robinson

The Public Utility Board has been asked to confirm Chris Robinson as Tacoma Power's next superintendent, starting May 1. He is currently head of the utility's power management. Robinson began his career with Tacoma Power in 2001, and now oversees three hydroelectric projects and a $125 million-a-year power-purchase contract with Bonneville Power Administration, as well as planning for future power supply. Ted Coates will retire May 1. Tacoma Public Utilities was established in 1893 and has three divisions: Tacoma Power, Tacoma Water and Tacoma Rail.
