$500K grant for workforce training

SEATTLE — A consortium of eight Puget Sound organizations received a $476,776 grant from the Federal Transit Administration for construction training and to create jobs in underserved communities.

“The model will help assure that we have a workforce specifically trained to build local transit infrastructure in a growing region and a vibrant and inclusive regional economy,” said U.S. Rep. Adam Smith in a news release.
