NW Natural buys 2 water utilities

PORTLAND — NW Natural Water, a Portland-based subsidiary of NW Natural, said it has agreements to buy two water utilities on Whidbey Island.

It said in a press release that Lehman Enterprises serves about 900 customers and Sea View Water LLC serves about 200 customers. Assets and operations will be combined in a new subsidiary after approval by the Washington Transportation and Utilities Commission. The deal could close this year.
